World Leadership– The United States used to be the country the rest of the world looked to for guidance, aid, and understanding. American citizens visitng overseas used to be cheered and envied, not criticized and lauded because of our government. With Democratic leadership, this can easily be achieved. Our leaders must have the desire to work for this world admiration. In a democracy, a true civic leader acts as a servant leader, seeking out the will of the people. To live blue, we should elect leaders that share these qualities, and this bold vision. Presidents Bill Clinton and John Kennedy should be used as models for this.
“Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”
-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
